Manchester City Council calls on pension fund to work towards divesting from fossil fuels and arms firms

Manchester City Council passed a motion on 27 November resolving to “call on Greater Manchester Pension Fund to call for and work towards divestment from fossil fuels and weapons companies” and to “Request that the Leader of the Council writes to the Mayor of Greater Manchester and the leaders of the other nine Greater Manchester councils to ask them to join us in these calls”.
